Tchenka Jane Sunderland

Tchenka has a degree in Philosophy and has been a consultant astrologer for 25 years.  She has taught and lectured throughout the UK, written horoscope columns and broadcast on radio and TV.  She has served on the council of the Astrological Association and is a well-known and respected member of the astrological community.  Her lifelong interest in the Mysteries has led to additional studies in alchemy, sacred geometry and numerology.  She is a visiting teacher of Hermetic Philosophy to MSc students in Holistic Science at Schumacher College.  She concurrently works with labyrinths and is consultant to the Conservation Foundation.  Permanent examples of her work in this area are to be found in Norwich, in Wencum park and in the Cathedral Cloisters.

Discover the purpose of each Zodiac sign, its strengths and its future

The symbolism of the Zodiac is over 5000 years old.  Within that symbolism the Magi of the earliest civilizations encoded a profound and holistic spiritual philosophy of life, a philosophy that has all but disappeared from sight and of which only fragments remain in contemporary "star sign" delineations.
For the past 25 years Tchenka has been rediscovering that wisdom - in the same way that our ancestors originally received it - by a patient, ongoing and attentive relationship with Nature through the seasons of the year.  In this groundbreaking series of monthly workshops, Tchenka will employ a variety of techniques, including guided visualisation, discussion and practical exercises within the grounds of beautiful Tofte Manor to encourage a more sympathetic understanding of this ancient lore, to reveal the hidden meaning of each Zodiac Sign, and to awaken its power within each participant.  Each workshop will focus on the "Star Sign" of the current month addressing such question as:

  • What is the true nature of that sign?
  • What is its unique role in the evolving drama of life?
  • Why are particular characteristics linked to that Zodiac sign?
  • From whence does this knowledge come?
  • What influences will be affecting this sign over the forthcoming months?
  • How can you tap into the power of this sign?

Each workshop is designed to stand-alone and to be accessible and valuable to participants at all levels of astrological interest or knowledge and whatever their individual "sign" may be. Come to one or to them all and open the door into an enriching experience of the power of this Sign and how it contributes to the Whole.  No prior astrological knowledge is required.
